COURSE EXPECTATIONS
IN ORDER TO PASS THIS PROGRAM AND RECEIVE YOUR CERTIFICATION, YOU WILL BE EVALUATED ON FULL ATTENDANCE, ALL ASSIGNMENTS, PRACTICUM ASSESSMENTS, FINAL EXAM, AND OVERALL STUDENTSHIP.
ATTENDANCE:
ALL SCHEDULED IN-PERSON MANDATORY SESSIONS MUST BE ATTENDED AND/OR ACCOUNTED FOR. THE ATTENDANCE POLICY IS OUTLINED BELOW:
i) A maximum of 16 of the mandatory hours may be missed if arranged in advance, and approved by the program director. For these pre-approved days, the trainee must reschedule the missed hours with a trainer.
ii) For any absences of the mandatory days incurred, the trainee must pay an additional cost for a private session(s) with a program trainer to make up any missed mandatory hours at the rate of $70 per hour.
iii) For absences from non-mandatory training sessions (like Zoom meetings), the trainee can access the recording as a make-up session.
iv) Make-up sessions should be completed prior to the next training session whenever possible or no longer than one week since the missed session along with the completion of any missed assignments.
v) Special considerations for the above i) – iv) will be made in the case of illnesses and emergencies which will be at the Program Director’s discretion to find the most reasonable solution for all parties.
vi) Unapproved absences may result in dismissal from the program. In this case, graduation will be at the sole discretion of the program director.
UNEXCUSED AND REPEATED TARDINESS WILL LEAD TO DOCKED TIME FROM TRAINING THAT WILL NEED TO BE MADE UP AS PER THE ATTENDANCE POLICY.
ASSIGNMENTS
ALL HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS AND PROJECTS ARE TO BE COMPLETED ON TIME.
HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: WORKSHEETS, WRITTEN REFLECTIONS, READING, PARTNER PROJECTS, RECORDED TEACHING ASSIGNMENTS, AND OPEN BOOK QUIZZES.
ASSESSMENTS
STUDENTS NEED A PASSING GRADE OF FINAL PRACTICUM AND FINAL EXAM, AND SATISFACTORY ASSESSMENT OF PRANAYAMA & MEDITATION EVALUATION IN ORDER TO GRADUATE.
STUDENTS WILL HAVE PRACTICUM ASSESSMENTS AND EVALUATIONS THROUGH THE PROGRAM TO PREPARE THEM SUFFICIENTLY FOR SUCCESS.
STUDENTSHIP AGREEMENT
IN ORDER TO CREATE A LUMINOUS LEARNING ENVIRONMENT FOR ALL, WE HAVE OUTLINED THE BELOW COMMITMENTS:
i) Aim for presence and mindfulness
ii) Engage with the material and process with enthusiasm
iii) Be receptive to learning
iv) Maintain integrity with interactions and communication
v) Respect yourself and others at all times – no gossip, no side conversations during lecturer presentations
vi) Endeavor for accountability and professionalism in all actions
vii) No use cell phone use during training times
viii) No laying down during sessions – optimal learning is an upright position
ABUNDANT PATH AIMS TO CREATE A SAFE AND INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR LEARNING. WE DO NOT TOLERATE HARASSMENT, INTIMIDATION OR OFFENSIVE TREATMENT OF OUR STUDENTS, TEACHERS, AND STAFF. IF ANYONE IS FOUND IN VIOLATION OF OUR ANTI-HARASSMENT POLICIES, ABUNDANT PATH WILL MAKE AN ATTEMPT TO IMPROVING THE SITUATION WITH ALL PARTIES. ABUNDANT PATH RESERVES THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE SAID PARTICIPANT FROM THE PROGRAM WITHOUT REFUND, SHOULD ATTEMPTS TO IMPROVING THE SITUATION FAIL.
TUITION & PAYMENT TERMS
Upon acceptance of your application, you can reserve your spot with a $200 deposit (non-refundable).
Outlined below are the terms of the Tuition and Refund Policy for the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training. Please read the below carefully. By submitting your application you are agreeing to the terms & conditions and entering into a payment agreement with Abundant Path School of Yoga (operated by Soo Yoon Yoga LLC).
Upon successful completion of the program as outlined above in the Course Expectations and full payment, you will be granted a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certificate which will allow you to register as a 200 hour Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance.
Payments can be made via Venmo, Paypal, or Zelle. Payment instructions will be sent along with program acceptance.
WITHDRAWALS
An applicant who withdraws from the program before the Start Date is entitled to a refund of all monies except for $200 (the amount of the non-refundable deposit).
SPECIAL CASES
In case a trainee needs to withdraw from the program due to illness, accident, death in the family, or other circumstances that make it impractical for the trainee to complete the course, the program will provide a reasonable and fair refund, or allocate the trainee’s tuition towards a subsequent training.
In the event of Covid restrictions or other issues that may deem meeting in person unsafe, the program will pivot to online learning and maintain the same training schedule to deliver the same content as planned. There will be no change in tuition or refunds, and all payment agreements, contracts, payments will continue as set forth in this agreement.
